The Bride
Cristina Assenza is 23 years old and was born to Tony and Karin Assenza in Sacramento, CA. She has one younger sister, Danielle. Cristina grew up in the small town of El Dorado, located in El Dorado County. She went to Charles Brown Elementary, Herbert Green Middle School, and graduated class of 2005 at Union Mine High School. Her hobbies include web design, playing the flute, reading, watching movies/tv, shopping, and spending time with friends. She is known for her love of all things Disney, Star Wars, Harry Potter, and Lord of the Rings.
The Groom
Joshua Robinson is 23 years old and was born to Marty and Diane Robinson in Sacramento, CA. He has one younger brother named Robert (Bobby) and many, many step siblings! He grew up in Sacramento and eventually moved to Placerville in El Dorado County where he graduated class of 2005 at Ponderosa High School. His hobbies include cars, camping, cars, 4-wheeling, cars, computer gaming, cars, watching movies/tv, cars, spending time with family/friends, and cars. He is a Mercedes-Benz enthusiast and currently works as a technician at Robinson’s Automotive with his dad.
How They Met
The bride and groom met on September 20th, 2004 at the McDonald’s restaurant in Placerville. Both were working there as after-school jobs while they were in high school. After a couple months of flirting the two officially started dating on November 6th, 2004 and the rest is history!
The Proposal
On the weekend of November 6th, 2009 Joshua took Cristina to Disneyland to celebrate their 5th anniversary of dating. November 7th, 2009 they spent a beautiful day together in the Disneyland park. They had dinner at the Blue Bayou restaurant inside the Pirates of the Caribbean ride, and it was there Joshua proposed to Cristina. (Wanna know more?)
